Summer Gathering 2026
In the East, the Buddha’s are depicted sitting, radiant, upon a moon mat.
In the West the high point of achievement has been ‘one small step’ on the moon’s surface.
How can we practice together this summer to harmonise our inner and outer lives? Witnessed by the old oak, under the bright full moon, surrounded by our friendly tribe.
The Gathering takes place on an organic farm between Halesworth and Bungay. Unless you are joining the Set-up Camp, please plan to arrive in the afternoon on Wednesday, 26th. Joining details will be in the Welcome Pack sent to you a few days before the event.
The Set-up camp is a smaller camp that takes place prior to the Summer Gathering. It starts on the Monday and lasts until Wednesday when people start to arrive for the Gathering. Shared meals are provided from the Monday evening.
Everyone works together to set-up the big tents and other facilities for the Summer Gathering. We also meditate together, have meals together and sit around the camp fire in the evenings.
Its hard work, good fun and a great way to build community. What is more, the Gathering depends upon people joining the Set-up Camp so joining is an act of generosity, an important Buddhist practice. You can indicate your interest when you book for the Gathering.
